Client Services Manager (Cemetery & Funeral Sales) - Little Lake Cemetery Company
The incumbent will be responsible for managing client relationships, while maintaining a long-term financial viability plan for the perpetuity of the cemeteries. This position will require a unique blend of customer service experience, sales acumen, and technical proficiency.

Located at Highland Park Funeral Centre & Cemetery in Peterborough.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, funeral directors and other stakeholders.
  • Identify areas within the community to engage and educate consumers on our services
  • Attend community events to promote LLCC funeral centres, funeral services and cemetery services.
  • Responsible to research market comparators and data collection to ensure competitive pricing strategies. Monitor key performance indicators (KPSs) and implement initiatives to improve sales performance and revenue generation.
  • Responsible in developing, implementing and achieving the cemetery annual forecasts, strategic market plans and financial short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Work with the Grounds Manager, Leadership team and Board members to develop the Annual Business Plan and Annual Capital Budget and the Cemetery Operating Budget.
  • Identify and comply with relevant governing legislation and maintain current knowledge of applicable laws and codes.
  • Oversee the Family Services Coordinators, Administration and Preplanner/Aftercare performance.
  • Participate in the locations and procedures involved in all burials and inurnments to ensure that attendance schedules meet to a very high level of accuracy.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Post-Secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience involving customer service, operations, sales and/or marketing. Cemetery or funeral service industry is preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years management experience.
  • Cemetery Sales license required or ability to attain.
  • Funeral Pre-Planner an asset.
  • Previous experience in project management and software implementation in the funeral and cemetery industry an asset.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding the FBCSA (Funeral Burial and Cremations Act) an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and decisions making skills to manage constantly changing priorities.
  • Strong oral and written communication practices and proficient in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
  • Valid non probationary Class G Ontario driver’s license and clean driving record
